I am writing to you today to express my support for the strike action that teachers in Northern Ireland are planning to take on the 26th of April.
I understand that this strike action will be disruptive for parents and children, but I believe that it is necessary to ensure that our children receive the education they deserve.
In recent years, we have seen a steady decline in school funding. This has led to cuts in staffing, resources, and support services. As a result, our children are not getting the education they deserve.
This is particularly true for our most vulnerable children. Children with special needs, children from low-income families, and children from minority groups are all being short-changed.
We cannot allow this to continue. We must stand up for our children and demand that they get the education they deserve.
I urge you to use your position as an MLA to support the teachers in their fight for a better education for our children.
