Vision, Mission, Ethos, Values & Aims
Vision (what our school aspires to)
In St Peter's Nursery School our vision is clear: ‘working together to achieve success’. We work together with our whole school community to provide an empowering, nurturing, child-centered and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, safe and loved.
Mission Statement (what we are doing in the present to reach our goal)
In St Peter's Nursery School, we want our whole school community to believe in themselves, keep moving forward and realise their full potential. Our Mission Statement is: ‘hop, hop, hop until you reach the top’!
Ethos (the culture & character of our school)
Our strong staff team share a desire to provide the highest quality education for the children in our care taking into consideration their age and stage of development. We have a shared vision of developing independent, happy, confident learners and work hard together to achieve this. We evaluate our practice daily and reflect on what we have learned.
The children are the heart of the decision-making process. In order to support our children we consider the needs of our whole school community and adapt our School Development plan targets to reflect these needs to ensure that everyone is 'working together to achieve success' as they ‘hop, hop, hop until they reach the top’. This holistic approach encapsulates the ethos of the school: together everyone achieves more.
